Are Filipinos Judgmental?

Philippines

Have you ever met someone new and you immediately don't like the person? Maybe there's something about the way they talk or the way they make decisions that you notice you don't like. Heck I once had a friend who commented on not liking the bad posture of someone they didn't know.

The thing is, it's not wrong to form hypotheses about a person given limited information. It could even be a good defensive measure as in, if someone feels off or predatory, our intuition can potentially protect us.

On the other hand, if we are always skeptical or judgemental towards others, it makes it hard to connect with other people and learn about new perspectives that differ from our own.

People's lives are extremely complex and we tend to only see such a small side of it. So next time you're casting judgements on others, instead of belittling them, it could be a good idea to ask "where is this person coming from? Why are they the way they are?"
