There is a mode of thinking I want to describe that I think is useful for the sake of being able to explore new knowledge and learn new perspectives. To see things as they are rather than how you want them to be.
This is not about abandoning whatever previous mode of thinking you had, it's about adding something more, something you can switch to or integrate for more exploration that unlocks new possibilities.
Switch to the frame of being child-like. Be curious, do things for the sake of wanting to understand rather than for social status. Be humble about everything. Be open to correction and do not treat correction as an attack.
Let go of the need to play status games and prioritize play. Be like the gamer who loves the game for its own sake, who does things out of passion and love rather than because they have something to prove.
